Sign up for weekly music classes for your child, right here on campus! The Music School is located in the 400 wing. Students that enroll in Music School classes that coincide with their PELC class will have their tuition reduced ($10/month) and teachers will pick-up and drop-off students from their classrooms.
Music School administrators may consult with PELC administrators to assign students to appropriate class sessions.

CLASSES FOR 2s
Musical Treats – students must be 2 years old by 9/1/26
This unique curriculum is designed to provide positive experiences with music and learning. Children will explore music through singing and movement, play instruments such as the piano, bells, xylophones, and percussion instruments, and engage in age-appropriate crafts and games. Special units will introduce classical music listening and musical stories.
We will likely split into 2 separate classes pending PELC student enrollment. Drop-off students will remain in the 9:30-10:30 class and PELC students will be divided by classroom.
FIXED MONTHLY TUITION: $90 ($80 for PELC pick-ups)

CLASSES FOR 3s
Music Box – students must be 3 years old by 9/1/26
Songs, games, dance-a-stories, crafts, rhythmic activities, and musical movement are all combined in this exciting class as children learn to respond to musical concepts. The piano and other instruments are used for basic instruction and self-expression. Music Box students learn to hear shapes of music, identify and match melodic patterns, and identify instruments, recordings, and specific sounds. Optional materials may be purchased from the Music School office: My Yellow Book.

CLASSES FOR 4s
Pathways – students must be 4 years old by 9/1/26
Pathways students enjoy musical games, crafts, and musical stories. Piano lessons are saved for a later time, after the child has had a broad introduction to reading and understanding music. This comprehensive curriculum is taught through four age-appropriate development principles:
- Hearing – each child learns to listen carefully, developing the ability to concentrate, discriminate, identify, and enjoy the relationship of sounds
- Rhythm – children respond to patterns in songs and games with large and small body movements
- Reading – each child learns to identify the symbols of music, approaching music-reading as a natural extension of the listening process
- Playing – children develop facility at the keyboard, coordinating and refining the areas of hearing, moving and reading
Students must be 4 years old by 9/1/26. This class is appropriate for TK and Kindergarten students, regardless of prior experience. Supplementary materials and music will be provided for continuing students as determined by the teachers.
