Hello Music School families and supporters!

      • NEW ON STAFF is Assistant Director Nick Patton, and Teaching Assistants Alicia John, Kelly Cheung, and Miranda Comstock.
      • Our CALENDAR is up to date on the website and in the hallway bulletin board. Please note we DO have classes and lessons on 10/14 Columbus Day.
      • OUR COMMUNITY PICNIC IS OCTOBER 13TH and all students and families are invited! 11:30-2:00 at Las Palmas Park in Sunnyvale.  Come enjoy performances by Singing Children and Entertainers, as well as jazz by Kirk Tamura and Mike Bastian. There will be bounce houses and activities for the kids, and lunch is provided – you can sign up HERE.
      • WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS still have openings and are just $15. You can sign up online for the 10/1 Piano Workshop and 10/3 Theory Workshop or contact the office.
      • DECEMBER RECITAL ASSIGNMENTS will be distributed by the end of October, so keep an eye out for a handout from your teacher.
      • CHORAL FESTIVAL TICKETS are now on sale through our office and online. $12 donation for general admission, $6 donation for youth admission, no online processing fees.  This is a wonderful concert on Wednesday 11/20 at 7:00 pm in Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, featuring students in Adventures, Kaleidoscope, Singing Children, Entertainers, and guest performers Mountain View High School Madrigals and A Cappella choirs.
      • CLASS OPENINGS – New students will still be accepted through the month of October, and additional new students will be accepted in January pending availability. Click on class names to register.
      • VACATION CAMPS are open for registration: Feb 18 – 21, 2020 from 9:00 am–2:00 pm, sign up for Music & Art Camp for ages 4–10 with Debbie Sanfilippo and Susan Ogren, or Music & Science Camp for ages 9 -12 with Jo Smith-Nilsson.
      • CURRENT PRIVATE LESSON OPENINGS:
        • Voice (age 12+)- Thursday 3:30 or 5:00
        • Guitar (age 9+) – Monday 4:00, Tuesday 3:00, Friday 3:30
        • Flute/Clarinet/Recorder (age 9+) – Tuesday 5:00, Friday 6:30
        • Saxophone (age 9+) – Monday 7:00
        • Trumpet/Trombone (age 9+) – Friday 3:00
        • French Horn (age 9+) – Tuesday 2:30 or 6:45
        • Drums (age 8+, beginners) – Monday 3:30 or 4:30
        • Violin (age 5+) – Tuesday 5:30, Thursday 5:30, Friday 3:00
        • Piano (age 6+) – Monday 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, Tuesday 2:30, 4:30, 6:45
        • Piano (age 8+, intermediate or advanced) – Wednesday 5:00, Thursday 3:30, Saturday 1:15
        • Other instruments/slots may be available upon request
