  • This fall, our founder and long-time Director DORIS HARRY said goodbye to the Music School and is off to new adventures! We invite you to celebrate with her at our annual Choral Festival at Mountain View High School on November 27, 2017 at 7:00 pm.  Tickets available online.  Thank you for the warm sentiments many of you have expressed to her.  If you would like to, you can add a message to our memory book, or drop off a card and we will deliver it.
  • We are happy to announce that our new Director is CHANTELLE URBINA, who has been invested in the Music School for over 25 years and dedicated to continuing the traditions and programs that we value as Music School families and teachers.
  • NEW FACULTY: Please welcome Sam Shinnick, Guitar, and Teaching Assistants Aaron Johnson, Allison Gregory, Kiren Balakrishnan, Rose Chan, and Tejas Kadambi. We are very sorry to lose Goh Nakamura, who is moving to Los Angeles to continue his performing career – if you’re a fan of his, follow him on YouTube.
  • THANKSGIVING BREAK: Nov 23 – 26
  • RECITALS: Recital information will be distributed to all private lessons, and Adventures, Kaleidoscope, Connections students this week. Recitals are Dec 11 – 16. If you do not receive this information from your teachers, please contact the office to confirm your scheduled recital.
  • AUTO-PAY: If you would like to your monthly payments charged to your credit card automatically, please reply to this email and we will contact you to collect the necessary information. This arrangement is not activated from term to term unless you make the request.  Thank you for your patience as we strive to streamline our billing and payment system.
  • PARKING: Music School families are permitted to park in the main church parking lot only. Driveway parking by the preschool or Lima Family Mortuary’s lot is prohibited – please help us be good neighbors!  The small lot on Hollenbeck is for Music School staff, and there is limited parking on the street.
  • NEW OPPORTUNITIES: Group Piano for Adults on Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30, Private Lessons in Oboe or English Horn, Audition Prep for vocal students by appointment, Recording Sessions in the beautiful Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church by appointment, and new camp sessions while your kids are on break from school! Sign up for Music & Art Camp February 20-23, and/or April 16-20, both sessions 9:00 am – 2:00 pm for ages 4-10.
  • CLASS OPENINGS: We still have openings in many of our classes, including Band, Singing Children, Thursday Pathways, Tuesday Adventures, and Saturday Connections. (Click on class names to register) Also, ask us about private lesson openings!
  • THANK YOU: We must thank our wonderful staff and volunteers from the Moriarty, Ronquillo, Harrison, and Kunz families for dedicating their time to help organize and clean the Music School classrooms and storage!
