Kaleidoscope 2021-2022

Kaleidoscope – grades 4 – 7

Students develop musical appreciation and skills through learning centers, ensembles, listening, music history, and composition activities. All students are taught proper vocal, piano, and music-reading skills and basic theory.

Kaleidoscope students may choose from the following majors* for a group lesson within class time: piano, violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums, or guitar, which requires an instrument at home, and a commitment to practice outside of class time. Occasionally a student may require individual lessons and in this case, an extra fee would be charged for private instruction. Students may choose to enroll as a general major, which requires no at-home practice.

Performances in the Choral Festival, Spring Musical, and student recitals are included in the class during the Regular Term.

*Students who major in flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone will not begin in-person lessons until the county mask mandate has lifted.

Proof of vaccination is required to enroll. Registration for the current term closes March 1, 2022 for the Kaleidoscope class.
