Classes

Registration for 2020-2021 classes is open now.

8/10/2020 update: As much as we all prefer to make music together in person, the health and safety of our students, staff, and community is our top priority.  Therefore, both Private Lessons and Music School Classes will be conducted online until we can be confident that when we return to campus, it will be safe for us all. Our 2020-2021 Regular Term classes begin September 8th, and we are planning with the hope that we may be able to transition back to campus at some point over the school year.  Please see below for class details and adaptations for online learning.  We are happily accepting registrations and we are committed to providing quality music education to your family in a safe and healthy environment!

To register, select your classes below and LOG IN or create a NEW ACCOUNT. If you need assistance, please CONTACT OUR OFFICE. For more information, read our TERMS & POLICIES.

Pathways ages 4 – 6  (preschool-kinder) This comprehensive curriculum is taught through four age-appropriate development principles:
  1. Hearing – each child learns to listen carefully, developing the ability to concentrate, discriminate, identify, and enjoy the relationship of sounds
  2. Rhythm – children respond to patterns in songs and games with large and small body movement
  3. Reading – each child learns to identify the symbols of music, approaching music-reading as a natural extension of the listening process
  4. Playing – children develop facility at the keyboard, coordinating and refining the areas of hearing, moving and reading
Piano lessons are saved for a later time, after the child has had a broad introduction to reading and understanding music.  Pathways students enjoy musical games, crafts, and musical stories.   Materials: I Can Play Keyboard Series and Hello Music Workbooks *While we are teaching online, Pathways students may attend either or both Wednesday and Thursday class sessions at no extra charge.  Please register for the class you would prefer to attend in-person. 2020 – 2021 TERM meets September 8, 2020 – June 5, 2021
